Do not be afraid of the truth which sets believers free. Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “‘What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them:

‘Take heed that no one deceives you [Do not be deceived.]’” (Matt. 24:3-4)

“‘For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.’” (Matt. 24:24)

I have heard a few preachers reminding us that great deception will come in the end-times, and that Jesus was saying it meant that His coming and the end of our present age were very close. There was deception in Hitler’s time and in a multitude of ways since. But one of the biggest deceptions today has hit many people in traditional churches, including myself many years ago, and Jesus wants us to avoid it.

Thank God the Lord kept magnifying to me, “Do not be deceived,” in November, 1994, and again more recently when I was publicizing my book-set, JESUS THE BRIDGE. The Holy Spirit wanted me to warn the people, “Do not be deceived,” and the book-set would help deliver them from deception in the way that the Lord delivered me.

Normally, if a person is deceived, he does not know it, and if someone tells him he will not believe it unless there is proof. Thanks be to God for the gift of revelation, because the word of the Lord came to me one night in 1981 saying, “The truth will set you free.” So I began to search for truth and as Jesus told us, if we seek, we shall find. Plus He promised to send His disciples His Holy Spirit of truth, the Helper, who “‘will guide you into all truth.’” (John 16:13) Our job is to follow His leading and trust Him. So over the years I did follow His leading and He delivered me from the great deception which has been plaguing the Roman Catholic Church and many Protestants. Namely, there have been numerous apparitions of a Lady in various nations in these latter years, and we thought that it was Mary, the mother of Jesus. But in answer to prayer, the Lord called it, “Illusion! Illusion! Illusion!”

Saul who was later called Paul, and who had been blinded by the light when Jesus appeared to him, could see clearly when his eyes were healed and scales fell off them. It was not until this word of the Lord, plus others came to me, that I was able to see through the deception in the Lady’s messages. Glory be to God, the truth of God’s word, both His Rhema word and the Logos word of the Bible did set me free as I tell in more detail in my book-set, JESUS THE BRIDGE. I tell what to do and how to get there. I went from being a devout Catholic following Mary, following the Lady, to a devout Christian following Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  

Instead of believing the Lady that I would be saved by her or by praying certain prayers a certain number of times to gain indulgences, I now know that salvation is a free gift for those who believe in Jesus because of the blood He shed at His crucifixion.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)

The Roman Catholic Church and some other mainline churches were steeped in the word of God from the Bible. However, when the study of the Bible was neglected for a long time, it was easier for our enemy to creep in the door and for them to get derailed. The devil, Satan, and his evil spirits can come in an ugly form or in a beautiful, appealing form.

“For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (2 Cor. 11:14-15)

The enemy appeared to me about 45 years ago in his ugly form, horns and all, to try to scare me to death. But thank God, when I called upon the name of Jesus, the apparition disappeared! And for many years, I, too was deceived by the Lady who was appearing in places like Fatima, Lourdes, and Medjugorje as a beautiful lady. But thank God the truth did set me free as I sought it. I asked the Lord to take all idols from my heart and give me truth in my inner being, and He did, He is so wonderful!

I tell in the book how transformer toys which were popular a few years ago might have a toy in one form transform into a completely different creature form. The devil is a counterfeiter and can transform an evil spirit into an attractive looking form. That will happen with both the Antichrist and his false prophet. “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.” (Rev.13: 11) Just as all that glitters is not gold, all that looks beautiful is not beautiful inside. Jesus said,

“‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits…’” (Matt. 7:15-16)

I tell of how we used to pray consecrations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus because an apparition of the Lady told people to do so. I reverently did likewise until I asked Jesus what He thought of this practice. He replied, “Repudiate the consecration,” and “Come out of her.” Repudiate means divorce so I realized that this was another deception that had fooled multitudes including myself. So I repudiated it and asked Him how to consecrate myself to His real heart. The Lord reminded me of His prayer to the Father, “‘Sanctify [consecrate] them by Your truth. Your word is truth.’” (John 17:17)

After consecrating myself in the truth, I could see clearly the deception in the wording of the two prayers the Lady had given. It is so important that we shake off any deception and receive the forgiveness that Jesus’ blood was shed to impart to us. “Come out of her” is from Jesus’ call to come out of Lady Babylon and her ways in Revelation 18:4.

“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues,” I echo to my people of the Roman Catholic Church and any other church which has been deceived by her false apparitions.

God is going to punish “Babylon the great” very severely so He warns those who have ears to hear to escape while there is time. The whole Roman Catholic Church needs to trust and obey Jesus Christ. There are true visions from God and false ones, sometimes called apparitions, which are from the evil one. The apparition of a Lady in many nations appears to be “the Lady of kingdoms,” (Isa. 47:5) a Babylonian evil spirit disguised as Mary. But the real Mary, mother of Jesus, would never accept worship like the Lady does, and would never say that only she could save you. She knows that Jesus is the Saviour of the world and His Holy Spirit is the Helper of Christians.

Jesus said, “‘I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.’” (John 14:16-17)
