    WHO IS GOD'S CHOICE?

    November 20, 2025

Scriptures concerning Mary in the Bible show that she was a model for discipleship:

Mary said to Gabriel, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.'"  (Luke 1:38) At Cana she said, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”  (John 2:5)

I was so devoted to Mary that in high school I was Vice-Prefect of the Sodality of Our Lady and believed she was the Mediatrix of all grace. But after I had a Saul of Tarsus experience with the living God, November, 1994, the Lord began to lead me to Scriptures showing that Jesus was God’s choice to be the one and only Mediator between God and man and God is the fountain of grace. You can read more about that in my book-set, JESUS THE BRIDGE.

Years ago, the word of the Lord came to me, "Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth."

Then, I began to call on the name of Jesus, especially as the Good Shepherd, and I began to see His shepherding in my life and that He truly does come to our aid when we call on His name. He loves us and desires to have a relationship with us, to "know us" and for us to be "known by Him." How happy I was when I realized that Father God wanted to adopt me, adopt us, so that we could be His children and He could raise us as His own!

I learned that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Rom. 3:23-24)

Mary herself acknowledged her need for a Saviour.in her Magnificat. But Jesus, our Intercessor, can "sympathize with our weaknesses, [since He was] in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. [Like children we can] come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Heb. 4:15-16)

David prophesied what Father God said to His Son, choosing Him as Mediator:

"'The LORD has sworn and will not relent, You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’

[So Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant, and] because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. " (Ps. 110:4; Heb. 7:21-25) Jesus, true God and true Man, is always able to save.

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (1 Tim. 2:5-6)

Jesus told us Himself that He is the one way to the Father and that as His adopted children, we could pray to Him in Jesus' name.

"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? ...Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father [and would send His Holy Spirit.] And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." (John 14:10,12-17)

Believers who are part of the body of Christ, are called to be saints while right here on earth. They should pray only in the name of Jesus.

When people tried to idolize saints Peter and John when the lame man was healed at the Beautiful Gate, Peter gave Jesus the Healer the glory His name deserves. “Why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? … And His [Jesus’] name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong.” (Acts 3:12. 16)

When the religious authorities asked "‘By what power or by what name have you done this?' Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, ‘Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: .... let it be knownto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

‘This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.'

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.'" (Acts 4:7-8, 10-12)

Reading the Old Testament, I noticed that there were many times when the Jews provoked God to anger because they had a mixture of calling on the name of God and calling on the name of idols. That is why they were captives in Babylon for 70 years. Even today, God wants no mixture. He compares it to worshipping both God and Baal and says we are not to do that. In our ignorance, we had made saints idols and called on both the name of the Lord God and saints. But JESUS THE BRIDGE will help you come out of that practice and “worship the Father in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23)

I have wept for my people comparing them to the children who have gotten sick and died because they drank muddy, polluted water. Their mothers did not have anything better to give them – that is until missionaries came and installed new wells with fresh, clean water.

I plead with you, read JESUS THE BRIDGE, not because I wrote it, but because Holy Spirit helped me gather info for it over a few years, so people could recognize the muddy water by studying the pure water of the Word of God. Then they could recognize the counterfeit bridge, and replace it with the genuine.

    With love in Christ Jesus,

Nancy Salvador "To God be the glory."
